WORLD FOOD DAY 2015-2016

Food and agriculture organization of the united nations has declared the theme for world food day as social protection and agriculture. This team has been chosen to highlight it’s importance in reducing rural poverty and granting access to food or means to buy food . World food day conducted on 16th October 2015.

Activities are conducted to raise awareness on world Food Day, as students are the agent of change . On that day students gave nutritious food for poor 195 students from the school gave the nutritious food.

WORLD POSTAL DAY

  • We celebrated the world postal day on 9th October 2015.
  • Students from Std 3 to 10 send letters to their friends or teachers.
  • Prizes gave to the participated students .

Youth festival 2015-16

*Youth festival 2015-16 started on 22 june 2015.
*Preliminary contestants were selected by the respective teachers.
*Criteria for all the competition were printed.
*On stage items were started on 21 August 2015.
*Outside judges were called.
*Morning section we started with group music and in afternoon section drama.
*On 22 August 2015 we conducted folk dance and in afternoon section classical dances were held.
*We windup our programme by announcing  the winners in various categories.
*We awarded all the on-stage winners with trophies.
*Of-stage winners were awarded in assembly .
*Trophies for the best actor and actress were also awarded .
*Youth festival committee members of 2015-2016 decided to select the A grade candidates of each event in each category will be taken to participate in sahodaya competition.

 

VISIT TO DIFFERENTLY ABLED CHILDRENS HOME

(SREEPARVATHY NILAYAM CHOLISSERY)
As a part of  CCE life skill activity on 20/08/15 students of standard IX visited a home for differently able children named Sreeparvathy Nilayam .We spent 3 hours with those children and entailed then with  different activities. Students donated rice and other needful things to them.

The visit to the Sreeparvathy Nilayam was Indented to inculcate the following qualities among the students.

To know their life and their living condition
To understand their difficulties
To provide necessary daily requirements.
Being sympathetic towards these people
Responsibility towards the society.

Digital India Celebrations 2015

The central board of secondary education joins hands with the
department of Electronics and Information technology to disseminate the message of the Digital India programme among educators and students to show case the government of India’s initiatives in the area of e-Governance.

Throughout the digital week celebrations , students are invited to participate in the online challenge on cyber safety and cyber wellness ,conducted by NeGD.

The online challenge competitions conducted from 1st July TO 17th July 2015. 24 students participated in the quiz competition. 4 students received the certificate of Merit. The other 20 students received the certificate of participation.
